RIKKI Marr is a maverick – an illustrator and designer with a strong sense of independence and creativity. He was one of the founders of the “Shop” collective in Canning Circus and has been a leading light in the city’s creative industries for a while now. His new venture, “Livescribes”, is a creative brainstorming service that uses on-the-spot illustration to crystallise ideas and build strategic thinking. It’s selling like hot-cakes, so I went to find out more.

Shop Directors May Cortazzi (Regenerate Clothing) and Jack Curtis have just added the finishing touches to buildmydreams.org. The initiative has been set up by May to help raise funds for the Peduli Anak Foundation who care for street children across Indonesia.

Secret Wars is a worldwide illustration battle network with teams competing all round the world. Illustrators go head to head in 90 minute battles judged by the crowd. This event was hosted by Shop on the 9th October 2010 and coincided with the Oxjam charity music festival.
